Hello! I'm Chadwick Seagraves I am a Library Systems Analyst for the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI) where I provide support, with the rest of our capable staff, for the Ex Libris ALEPH 500 ILS to 22 member libraries across the state.
I conduct training, work with the systems librarians and others as a liaison, and try to encourage & contribute to Library 2.0 philosophies. I am also a member of TechCast, "A Virtual Think Tank Tracking the Technology Revolution".
I write at my professional blog InfoSciPhi. In October 2006 I took over administration of the Carnival of the Infosciences from my friend Greg Schwartz who writes at Open Stacks and, most recently, Uncontrolled Vocabulary. Check out the Carnival and send submissions or volunteer to host.
I have embraced the nature of social networking and will tell you more than you may want to know about my professional & personal background on the Author page of my blog or on Facebook.
I look forward, every year, to attending this conference and always come back with new ideas and great friends.
I am excited to be presenting a post-conference workshop titled "Customer Service 101 in a 2.0 World", with a focus on developing a customer service strategy that addresses the support of Web 2.0 technologies & tools. In my former career I was a Customer Service Team Manager for a major OEM computer corporation and I have had the ideas for this workshop in my mind since 2003.
